Trying to Find the Right Birthday Theme |

For the past few weeks, I've been trying to come up with a birthday theme for my husband's 45th birthday. He isn't one to have parties, but since the last year has been a little difficult for him, I thought a birthday party surrounded by all his friends is just the perfect thing to start this year off right for him. The only problem is, I'd like to come up with an original birthday theme, and up until now, I've been drawing a blank.
I did order some general birthday party supplies like these 19 inch Red Star Foil Balloon at Shop on Mine whose online store can be found by visiting http://www.shoponmine.com/. They are pretty general and can be used with whatever birthday theme I happen to come up with, but I really need to have a brainstorming session with one of my friends who is the best at coming up with party ideas. The only problem is, she's out of town until the end of the month, and by then it will be too late to come up with a birthday theme and order more birthday party supplies that will go along with the theme. I may send her an email today and see if she has time to catch up on the phone, even though I know her hours have been insane since she's been gone.
One thing I don't want to do is add pressure to that she's already under by making her think that she has to come up with a birthday theme if she doesn't have time. Knowing her though, I know she'll try to make sure she can come up with a theme, plus birthday party supplies, so I think I may scratch calling her, as much as I could use her help. I know she really doesn't need the distraction right now.
Maybe I could call mom and ask her. After all, she's thrown a few parties in her day and maybe she can come up with a birthday theme that would be fitting for my husband. I do know one thing; I want it to be funny and not too serious. One would think that would make it easy to come up with an idea, but so far I'm drawing a blank. Obviously I’m going to have to get help from somewhere, and I do think I'll start with mom. After all, it doesn't hurt to ask does it? |
