birthday idea, party decoration

Anyone who knows me knows that I live for party and event planning. I don't know what it is, but I love the idea of shopping for party decorations and putting together birthday ideas that will create a special event for the person celebrating their special day. Truth is all of my friends also happen to know this, so when someone needs birthday ideas, I'm the one they call.

Such was the case yesterday when my best friend called to see how we spent our New Year's Eve. After we talked for a while, she mentioned that she wanted to plan a birthday party for her husband, but she had absolutely no idea what kind of birthday themes were available out there, or where to find party decorations. I couldn't help but laugh, since I knew she wanted my help and she was yet to come right out and ask me to help her with birthday themes for her husband. She's known me for twenty years and she knows that I live for this kind of thing. I finally asked her if she needed help coming up with birthday ideas and if she could use my help.

She was thrilled with my offer, and I invited her to pop over for coffee and to help me eat my way through some of the goodies that we still had left from New Year's Eve. I figured we could have a great face-to-face chat, plus we could discuss birthday ideas that she would be happy with.

When she arrived, I'd already pulled out the computer and surfed to Shop on Mine whose online store can be found by visiting www.shoponmine.com. I wanted to be able to show her some of the party decorations like this 20" Glass Mirror Ball  that are available, in hopes that it would give her some birthday ideas for her husband's party. Sure enough, over coffee and cake we were able to put our heads together and come up with an idea for the party, which thankfully isn't until March. He's turning 40, so we want to make it quite a bash, but didn't want to do the typical '40' themed party. While we were chatting, I grabbed a pen and paper and sketched out some of the ideas, so they would stay fresh in my mind. If all goes as planned, and it will- this is going to be a fantastic party, and quite possibly the best one I've ever done. I can't wait to see it all come together.
