Party Decorations
This morning my brother called to ask if I’d ordered the party decorations for mom and dad’s 40th anniversary party yet. I explained that I’d been checking around at various sources for party decorations and wanted to make sure that I found the best price online before placing the order, but that I’d actually done that and planned to get them ordered this morning. I could tell that he was a little nervous when he started commenting that it was only one month until the party and the party decorations had to be in house on time and if they weren’t it was going to ruin the party. After I let him rant for about five minutes, when he paused I made the comment that this isn’t the first party that I’ve given and one month is more than ample time for the party decorations to be ordered and received. I expected it to take a week to ten days tops before they arrived. I reassured him and told him to leave all the planning to me. He said he would; now let’s just see if he holds up to his end of the bargain.
