birthday idea


My brother is turning the big five-o next month and my sister-in-law is frantically putting together a birthday idea or two for his party. It is not a surprise party. My brother is not into being the center of attention or being taken off guard so a surprise party was out of the question. However he will be the object of some ridiculing as my sister-in-law has asked each guest to prepare a short ditty about my brother. We will see how this birthday idea of a roast goes over.

It can be difficult to come up with an original birthday idea but I think my sister-in-law may have done just that. My birthday idea for the roast is to talk about a bathing suit malfunction I had one year while my brother and I were vacationing on the beach in California. Unfortunately as I rose from my blanket my bathing suit top did not. The plastic strap had broken and revealed all that was underneath. This was to my brother's chagrin as I stood up right in front of him. Goodness, we both were embarrassed as I let out a little whoop and quickly grabbed a towel. It is one of those occasion he and I will never live down.
