As I type this, the American Olympic hockey team is facing Finland in the 15th day of the games. All signs are pointing to an American win considering we are leading 6-0 at the moment. Now if Canada beats Slovakia in their Semifinal game on tonight the pieces will be set for an outstanding party decorations opportunity. Having a roommate from Canada while the rest of us are born and bred in the states has already created a friendly rivalry. My Canadian roommate is convinced his country’s squad is going to return in the Championships, as a team possessed sending a large message to America who really knows how to play hockey. I’m not so convinced.
With old party decorations we bought online for previous parties it will be easy to transform our place into an Olympic Hockey haven. The Winter Olympics are nearing an end and I can’t think of a better way to say goodbye to Vancouver then with a Championship hockey match and party decorations. An American win will really make for some happy Midwestern hockey fans.
