party decoration, birthday party favorMy mother loves flowers and has a milestone birthday coming up so I decided instead of using paper party decorations, I'd just go buy a lot of flowers and make them up into bouquets. I'll then place them throughout the party areas of the house and let her and her guests enjoy them. As party decorations, flowers work really well and if she wants to use them as birthday party favors, she has that option, too. Or she can just keep them all for herself and enjoy them for a few days after the party.

Right now I have a ton of wildflowers blooming in the garden and some of them actually would work for flower bouquets, too, especially the desert marigolds that last a long time in water. These are like daisies only they are an intense yellow, one of my mom's favorite colors, too. I'll keep them in mind as I buy the flowers for the party decorations. I have the perfect box to transport the flower bouquets to her house and I know that she'll just love them. I'll also order a decorated cake with lots of flower sprays on it, too, carrying the theme all the way through this big birthday party.
