party decorations, birthday party favorsLast night we went to a birthday party for a guy my husband works with. They took a vacation to Montreal this summer and the party decorations were homemade. They took tons of digital pictures on their vacation of the city's beautiful architecture and the good times they had there and used them to print out the banners, and even used them to give us each a T shirt to remember the party. They are really nice T shirts, too. Kids get to take home birthday party favors, and it was nice to have a take away, even at our adult age.

We had no idea that they would use a vacation as the party decorations, but it made social sense. The conversations never idled for lack of things to talk about because the focus of the party was on showing and telling us about the beautiful and fascinating city of Montreal. They even were able to generate interesting fact sheets about the city, too, that they used to cover the beverage glasses with. I thought it was a unique way to have a birthday party centered around birthday ideas that informed and entertained all of us. Kudos to them.
