Birthday Ideas
I’m throwing a party for my husband next month for his birthday and I’ve been trying to find a few birthday ideas to make the party special. We always have a party for him every year, but I thought that since he’s turning 40, that I could possibly come up with a few birthday themes that would make this specific birthday a little different than years past.
I know one of the popular birthday themes for 40 is the over-the-hill theme, but I think I want to do something different than that. I like to be original, so I’ve actually been thinking about birthday themes centered around wearing costumes. Of course, I won’t tell my husband this, because whatever I choose, I want it to be a surprise, not to mention I’d never get him in a costume, but it would be great to have everyone else in one. I wonder if there are any carnival related birthday themes? I think that would be fun, having everyone wearing a mask, which would keep him from knowing who is who. Then at midnight we could sing happy birthday and have an unmasking. Since the party is actually the day before his birthday, the unmasking would be the official kick-off to his big day
