I was invited to a neighbor’s birthday party recently and the birthday theme was anything Hawaiian. It wasn’t a big number birthday, just an in between number and an excuse for my friend to throw a party. The host was thinking of different birthday ideas and themes when she found out that the birthday girl was going to Hawaii soon for her anniversary. Well, that got the wheels in motion for party decorations and birthday party supplies. She had all the tiki torches, leis, and the attractive and colorful party supplies to go with the theme. She even had Hawaiian music playing when we walked in. It was going to be a small party, so the guests all coordinated with each other on what to buy, so there wouldn’t be all beach towel gifts. It was fun looking for everything tropical. The gifts ranged from towels, sunscreen, flip flops, books, straw bags and purse to beach cover-ups and a gift certificate for manicure or pedicure. It was a great party and we all asked if we could all go with her.
