My husband celebrates his birthday December 26.  Every year we have trouble having a party for him because of that date.  This year he will be turning 55, and I want to really have a special party for him.  After talking with our children about birthday ideas, we decided to go online to an internet store that caters to special occasions.  We found birthday party supplies and party decorations; but, we were still unsure of what to use as a birthday theme for his particular birthday.

Turning 55 is a turning point for most folks.  You are considered a "Senior Citizen;" so, we opted for the Senior Birthday party favors.  Of course, I will never think of this man as old...he is and always will be my rock, my hero and my dream man.  Being those things must have had some impact on him as he tried to live up to the expectations I'm sure I placed on him.  Still, he has managed quite well...and I will not be too harsh on him on his birthday.  In addition to the party supplies, the guests will be asked to bring gag gifts...and I pray we will have a great time full of laughter!

I've been gathering some of my own birthday party favors and special gag gifts.  First, I started with a free toilet paper seat cover...since he has to be so very careful at his age wherever he chooses to sit.  I added some wrinkle cream, age spot remover, men's underwear with a patch that stated which was front...and a map of the inside of the house so he could remember his way around.  I hope he gets a kick out of the party, and I know he will be aware it is given in the spirit of love!
