Every year my sister plans elaborate celebrations for her kid’s birthdays and this year since my nephew will soon be turning five I wanted to get involved in the planning as well. There are so many birthday themes out there that my sister had tired of doing all the planning and searching for birthday themes that are fresh and have not been used a million times before. So this year I am taking over for her. I have been trying to come up with some birthday ideas that will make him a hit with his classmates and friends and I think that I have come up with one of the best birthday ideas that will make it a dream party for any five year old. This year I am planning a backyard circus for my nephew. Now I know many of you will say that it has been done a million times before and that this is not a new idea to the world of birthday themes. But I think I have put a new twist on it this year. Of course we will have all the traditional party decorations and birthday party favors but at this backyard circus party I am going to have all of the kids dress up as there favorite circus character. For example, a clown, a tightrope walker or even an elephant. I have planned out several circus games, such as ring tosses, the fishing pole game, and pin the tail on the elephant. I am going to make balloon animals and rent a popcorn machine and a cotton candy machine. There will also be pony rides.
When I was looking for some new birthday party favors I came across a site on line called Shop On Mine located at www.shoponmine.com that had several good birthday ideas on their party supples section. I found the perfect birthday party favors there too. I don’t know why but I have always loved all of those little games and puzzles and cheap little toys that come in those little party bags. I even found the perfect thing to put into the goody bags. While in the store I found personalized wrapped candy bars that I can have his name and birthday put on to commemorate his special day. I love the party decorations too. It just seems to make the parties that much more festive and special and more memorable for the kids and their friends. I think kids love coming home from a party and bringing home some little trinket from it as a special reminder. The best thing is that you get to get someone else's kid all hyper on sugary treats and then you get to send them home. |
