Throwing a good birthday party for a large group of kids can be challenging. It doesn't matter whether they're boys or girls, put a large pack of kids together in a room and there's bound to be some chaos. But, it doesn't have to be that way if you've planned your birthday themes carefully. One of my favorite birthday ideas is to keep the kids busy pretty much the whole time they're at the party. The birthday party favors you give them should be things they can play with, like paddle balls, nerf balls, little hand-held games, squirt guns, or whatever fits into your birthday party themes. For instance, if your kid is into outer space, take the kids to the local science center or planetarium, or maybe to the movies to see the latest outer space epic. If your kid is a sports fan, get party decorations featuring his favorite team and then give everybody little footballs, or organize a nerf baseball game in the back yard. Pinatas are fun as party decorations, and then smashing them and diving for the candy that falls out gives the kids one more exciting activity. One of the most important birthday ideas you can take away from this blog is to keep them busy. The busier they are, the more fun they'll have, no matter what kind of birthday party favors they go home with.
