There are still 57 days to go before the opening day of the 2010 Winter Olympics kicks off but I am already stewing up ideas for an opening day party. The Olympics on any year are worth celebrating. How cool is it to see the best in the world compete against each other? I haven’t started looking for Winter Olympic party decorations online yet but I know they are out there. After watching Shaun White’s Gold Medal snowboard run in the 2006 Winter Olympics, attached in the video below, I got a burst of Olympic joy. This is the place where competitors don’t freeze up under pressure, they put together huge performances of athleticism. Can’t wait to see what Shaun White does this year.

Party decorations along with good food, friends and a big flat panel is the only way to ring in a competition of this magnitude. With all the great online party decorations, I don’t think getting the cash ready from now to then is going to be an issue. Man, it would be nice to drive up to Vancouver.
