With the holidays just around the corner, one of the things that I seem to be constantly in search of is party decorations. I have landed myself on several committees this year, and each one of them have me sorting out the party decorations and menu ideas for each gathering. The truth is I love that kind of thing and many say that when I’m planning parties that I’m in my element. I suppose that could be true, but I do admit loving the challenge that comes with making sure that each one of the get togethers are different than the one before it, and that means having different party decorations and different food for each new event.
This morning I had mom on the telephone as I was finalizing the party decorations and food for this weekend’s annual fundraiser. She said she didn’t know how I could carry on a conversation with her on the phone plus send emails and order items online at the same time. She said if that were her, she’d have everything all confused and make a mess out of everything. I somehow doubt that, after all I had to learn these skills somewhere.
