Since this is the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock, we decided to have a "Woodstock" theme party.  We went online, and found a great site that had not only birthday ideas; but, birthday themes, birthday party supplies, and birthday party favors.  This party was going to be the best we had ever held...and we even sent invitations to some of our high school friends!  We included co-workers and some neighbors.  We hand-painted a long sign that said, "Welcome to Woodstock - Peace Man." 

We ordered tye-dye balloons, Hippie Headbands, and Neon Peace Sign Beads.  We had the basement decorated perfectly, and all the music was totally Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Steffen Wolf, and too many others to mention.  We dressed in hip-hugger jeans, boots, and wore Afro or long straight-haired wigs.  It was such a blast!  Everyone danced the night away, and it was a great introduction to our children of the old days!  There were good things to remember about that time, and there were also many sad things to remember.  That was a time in history we made history, and what history we made!
