My parents celebrated their 40th annivesary two years ago and I gave them an anniversary party. Since forty is the Ruby anniversary, all the party decorations were in red hearts. I even made their cake, which was two heart shaped cakes joined together, with red frosting. My mom's favorite color is red, which made the party decorations that much better! I had heart shaped plates and napkins as well as red cups with hearts as party decorations. The banner on the wall was red lettering with hearts on each end and red balloons, which made for pretty party decorations. I am so proud that they are married so long, and wanted their party to be special. Party decorations play a really big role in the memories of the party. They still talk about how beautiful the party decorations were for their fortieth anniversary. I love how in love they still are after being together for forty-six years. I was happy to be able to buy the party decorations and throw the party to celebrate their ongoing love.
