My friend and I went camping last month. My birthday happened to be during the days we were camping. I knew it meant that I won’t be celebrating my birthday, but I didn’t mind. On the morning of my birthday I woke up to see birthday party decorations hanging in my tent. I was so surprised. My friend then shouted “ Surprise, Happy
Birthday”. She had a tiny cupcake on a plate. It had a small candle on it and I got to blow out the candle and cut the cupcake as she sang happy birthday. She then gave me a gift of a CD that I really wanted. We took pictures and ate the cupcake.

I was so touched, my friend had thought about so many details, even the candle and the party decorations. That evening, we were leaving and as I was packing up the birthday party decorations, I asked her how she managed to hide it from me. She told me that she had hidden the birthday decorations in a towel and the cake in a small bag between her clothes. That was the best birthday party of my life. Friends like this are so special.
