Ever since my first child's first birthday, I have done a birthday theme for each one of them. I have done sports birthday themes, princess birthday themes and everything in between. One year my son had a baseball birthday theme, and I made baseball cap cupcakes. They were so amazing! I loved how they turned out, and all the decorations were baseball related. Another memorable birthday theme was my daughter's Barbie birthday. She had a Barbie cake, Barbie decorations and the whole nine yards. The kids now remember the birthday by way of the birthday theme. My daughter will say, remember my Barbie birthday? And I laugh, and tell her how old she was on that one. It's really cute, and the kids remember the birthdays more clearly because of the birthday themes. It gets more interesting the older they get, trying to do a birthday theme but I always come up with something. Sometimes I go online to look around and find birthday ideas so that makes it a lot easier to do a birthday theme.
