I always do a birthday theme for my kids on their birthdays. Every year I look for new birthday ideas for their parties. Since I got internet access, my search for birthday ideas has gotten so much easier. I type a couple of words into a search engine, and thousands of ideas come up in birthday ideas. I have had some cool birthday ideas for their parties in the past, from baseball theme with baseball cap cupcakes to Barbie and Princesses. I have to get even more creative when it comes to birthday ideas and themes now that the kids are getting older. Gone are the days of princesses and Disney characters. Last year I did a Hawaiian luau theme for my daughter's birthday. We had the grass skirts, lei's, palm trees and hibiscus flower decorations, the whole thing came out smashing! For my son who's getting a bit older, we did birthday ideas like a fish party with lots of fish themed items and he thought that was cool. I even made his cake in the shape of a fish.
